Stevie winners will be presented their awards on June 11 in New York
Washington, D.C. – May 9, 2024 – PGS’ Nikki Cottingham was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Human Resources Executive of the Year category in The 22nd Annual American Business Awards® on April 25, 2024.
The American Business Awards®, also known as The Stevie® Awards, are the world’s premier business awards. They were created in 2002 to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide. In short order the Stevie has become one of the world’s most coveted prizes.
Under the dynamic leadership of PGS’ Human Resources Manager, Nikki Cottingham, implemented a series of transformative initiatives to enhance our workplace environment and employee support systems. Despite being a busy mother of four and actively involved in community service, Nikki has demonstrated remarkable dedication and vision in her role. Firstly, she launched an enterprise-wide “Employee Experience” strategy to address employees’ holistic wellbeing, encompassing financial, physical, and emotional aspects, reflecting her deep commitment to fostering a supportive and nurturing workplace culture. Additionally, Nikki successfully bridged the gap between corporate headquarters and employees stationed at customer sites, facilitating open lines of communication that have significantly boosted employee retention and overall company satisfaction. Furthermore, she spearheaded the implementation of a new HRIS system, revolutionizing our HR processes and generating significant time and cost savings for the organization. Through the introduction of Performance Appraisals and Evaluations, fairness and transparency in employee evaluation have been ensured, with rewards tied to customer experience and satisfaction. Nikki’s leadership has also been instrumental in creating and streamlining policies and forms, enhancing operational efficiency and clarity for all stakeholders. Moreover, her efforts to introduce new employee benefits, such as critical illness insurance and support for individuals with disabilities and caregivers, demonstrate her commitment to employee welfare and inclusivity. Notably, Nikki’s collaboration with the military community has bolstered our recruiting and hiring efforts, resulting in increased veteran representation within our workforce. Additionally, by introducing PGS to brokers, significant cost savings have been achieved, exemplifying Nikki’s strategic approach to enhancing organizational performance while supporting employees’ diverse needs and backgrounds.
