March is a month close to every book lover’s heart – it’s National Reading Month! An occasion that transcends age, nationality, and profession, dedicated to the pure joy of reading and the profound impact it has on our lives. From fostering learning and social interaction to nurturing professional growth, the power of reading knows no bounds.
As we embrace this celebration, let’s take a moment to reflect on the enriching experiences that reading brings into our lives. Whether it’s getting lost in the pages of a captivating novel, sharing stories with loved ones, or delving into insightful online articles, each literary adventure contributes to our personal growth and understanding of the world around us.
In the spirit of National Reading Month and our commitment to giving back to the community, I am thrilled to share with you our Quarter 1 PGS Community Service project, which centers around promoting literacy and supporting those in need through two impactful initiatives:
1. Oxon Hill Elementary Library Restocking: We have joined hands with Oxon Hill Elementary, a school in our community, to revitalize their library. With a focus on creating a conducive learning environment, we invite you to contribute new books or furniture to support their cause. Explore the school’s wish lists here: Books Wishlist and Furniture Wishlist.
2. Books 4 Kids for Military Pediatric Clinics: Join us in supporting Books 4 Kids, an organization dedicated to providing books to military pediatric clinics in the DMV area. Your donations of new or gently used books will bring comfort and joy to children and families in need.
Your participation in these projects, whether through donations, spreading the word, or lending your support, can make a significant difference in the lives of others. Let’s rally together as a team to promote literacy and demonstrate our unwavering commitment to serving our community.
