DevSecOps Engineer
Description
PGS is seeking an experienced, energetic, self-starting, problem solving DevSecOps Engineer who is interested in assisting our client modernize an enterprise-wide system.
Responsibilities
- Provision, and integrate cloud and automation services to meet end-to-end solution requirements.
- Analyze and document the synchronization, efficiency, and effectiveness of Agile DEV/SEC/OPS team phases, processes, and outcomes.
- Use Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Feature and Test-Driven Development, Lean, Lean Startup, etc.) to design, build and deploy automated systems that support our client’s needs.
- Support adoption of the latest cloud and infrastructure, orchestration, and automation visualization methods, technologies and capabilities
- Recommend actions to synchronize DEV/SEC/OPS phases, which include automated code testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated monitoring, and continuous integration continuous delivery, automated monitoring, and continuous deployment.
- Ensure cloud architecture and DevSecOps documentation is robust
- Develop, track and report DEV/SEC/OPS metrics, to include cost savings /avoidance and system reliability / availability improvements attributable to the use of DEV/SEC/OPS versus a conventional approach.
- Assess and report the results of the DEV/SEC/OPS pilot.
- Track, assess, report and assist in the resolution of infrastructure deployment risks and issues.
- Serve as a trusted customer liaison and support product management on various client accounts
- Work with product development teams to test and confirm customer functional requirements are fully supported
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed processing applications
- Demonstrated technical aptitude implementing and managing cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins, Microsoft TFS)
- Experience with creating infrastructure provisioning and configuration scripts (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, AWS Cloud Formation)
- Experience with configuration of event/log forwarders and aggregators to monitor and debug operations software (e.g., for Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Grafana, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch)
- Experience with elastically scalable and multi-region applications (e.g., Mulesoft)
- Experience with creating, orchestrating, and debugging containers and container fabrics (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) • Programming in at least two of the following: Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, or C++
- Familiarity with Cloud Migration methodologies and best practices
- Experience working with SAFe Agile methodologies
- Experience with DoD
